Kantar publishes the BrandZ report which lists the most valuable brands in the world. Top of the list is Amazon whose value reaches USD 684 million.
The value of Amazon increased by 64% compared to the previous year, where their value 'only' reached USD 268 billion. While in 2nd position there is Apple with a value of USD 612 million, up 74%, and Google with USD 458 million, up 42%.
To build this list, Kantar BrandZ uses leading brand valuation techniques, as well as research from the world's largest consumer survey with interviews with nearly 4 million consumers, covering 18,500 brands in 512 categories spread across 51 markets.
According to Kantar, companies included in the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands recorded an increase in overall value of USD 2 trillion or 42 percent compared to the previous year. This shows that the world's largest companies have managed to grow rapidly despite the disruption caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Other tech brands on the list are Samsung at 42nd, Huawei at 50th, and Xiaomi at 70th. A big improvement took place at Xiaomi, up 11 places compared to the previous year. Now, Xiaomi is more valuable than BMW, the German car manufacturer.
But the biggest growth is Tesla, which is worth 275%, and TikTok, which is up 158%. The two are ranked 47 and 45 respectively on the list.
Some other interesting names in the list are Nvidia in 12th position, Qualcomm in 37th position, AMD in 57th position, Snapchat in 82nd position, and Spotify in 99th position.
Meanwhile, in the video streaming business whose popularity increased during the epidemic, there is Disney whose value rose 13% and Netflix whose value rose 55%. Here is the complete list of the 100 most valuable brands in the world according to Kantar BrandZ.
