Competing with WhatsApp, Telegram can now make group video calls


 After a long wait, Telegram has finally added group video calling and screen sharing features to the voice chat feature. Wow, WhatsApp is becoming a tough competitor.
With the latest version available for iOS, Android and desktop devices, Telegram users can turn their group voice chats into video conference calls. To start a group video call, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of Telegram.



For Android users who will make calls must be in a group. Voice chat must be initiated by an administrator who can initiate such voice chat through the menu button - three dots in a vertical line in the profile of the group they choose. Whereas, on iOS groups, administrators can see the "Voice Chat" button right on the group's profile.





For group video calls on desktops and tablets allows a set of more controlled options for group video calls.



Users will have the option to tap the button usually located in the upper right corner of the screen, this is to expand the group video chat to a split screen view or to view the side panel.



Currently, the group video feature is limited to the first 30 people who join the voice chat. However, for audio participants in this chat is not limited.



A representative of Telegram said, if the restriction will be immediately increased with a larger amount. Telegram has also added screen sharing along with group video chat.



Users should be able to access this new feature on Telegram now, for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows desktop environments. If you cannot access the group video chat, make sure you have the latest update for the Telegram app.
