How to Update Windows 10 to Windows 11, Free and Easy!

Microsoft officially announced the presence of Windows 11. Windows 10 users can upgrade their operating system to Windows 11 for free, here's how.
Windows 11 will actually only be officially available at the end of the year holiday season. But Microsoft will start sharing early versions of Windows 11 (not the version leaked on the internet some time ago) through the Windows Insider Program starting next week.

Therefore, those of you who have joined the Windows Insider Program can try Windows 11 first before it is officially launched. But it is more recommended to install this beta version of Windows 11 on a second device, not on a device that is used every day, because there may be many bugs.

To download an early version of Windows 11 for free, you must first join the Windows Insider Program here. Just click Sign up and sign in using your Microsoft account.

After that make sure your Windows 10 device is eligible to upgrade to Windows 11 for free. You can check whether the device specifications meet the requirements or not by downloading the PC Health Check app here.

Microsoft has also shared the minimum specifications that a PC must have before installing Windows 11, namely:

- Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores in a 64-bit processor or compatible System on a Chip (SoC)

- RAM: 4GB

- Storage memory: 64GB or larger

- System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable

- TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0

- Graphics card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver

- Display: High-definition display (720p) whose diagonal size is greater than 9 inches, 8 bits per color channel

- Internet connection and Microsoft account: Windows 11 Home requires an internet connection and a Microsoft account to complete device setup on first use.

Once this beta version of Windows 11 is available, you can download it directly like a regular software update. You do this by going to the Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update menu.

After that click Check for Updates. If Windows 11 is available and can be installed, then you will see a Feature update to Windows 11. Click Download and install then follow the next instructions, as quoted from Cnet, Friday (6/25/2021).

The above method is not only applicable for Windows 10 users who want to try Windows 11 now. Once the stable version of Windows 11 is released next holiday season, you can also download it as above without signing up to the Windows Insider Program.

Windows 11 itself brings many improvements such as a simpler interface, Windows Store with a new look, improved performance and multitasking experience. This operating system is also promised to be more efficient and more battery efficient.
