Netflix Introduces Partial Download Feature, What Is It?

Netflix is a streaming service where you need to be connected to the internet to watch it. However, there are often interruptions that users often experience from an unstable and slow internet connection.
This is what allows Netflix to be used to download movie content that can be watched offline. Usually, there are also users who experience where the download has not completed or is still part of the way the movie is being downloaded.

Netflix also announced that it will roll out the feature for its Android app as a partial download.

With this feature users can still watch the movie even though it has not finished downloading, but the movie can be watched up to a certain point where the download stops. Netflix's move is considered useful in emerging markets where internet connections may not be stable or fast.

So this way at least the user can still watch the entertainment even if it is not complete as a whole.

"That's why we've improved the Netflix download experience so you can now start watching The Mitchells vs The Machines or the next episode of Luis Miguel - The Series even if the download hasn't finished." said Netflix.

"Once you have a strong enough connection, you can choose to finish the download and continue watching." he added.

The feature is currently available on Android, and hopefully Neflix will start testing it on iOS devices next month.
