iPhone 12 Mini Production Stopped Due to Lack of Sales

Apple has reportedly stopped production of the iPhone 12 mini. Because the sales performance of this model is lower than the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models.
Taiwanese research company TrendForce claims that the iPhone 12 mini is no longer in production. This model is said to have entered the end of life phase earlier than it should have.

"Apple is expected to focus on driving sales of all three non-mini models in the iPhone 12 series given the fact that the iPhone 12 mini (which reached End of Life in early 2Q21) experienced disappointing sales performance compared to other models in the iPhone 12 family," TrendForce said.

Poor iPhone 12 sales are not new news. In March, Apple reportedly began production of the iPhone 12 mini in the first half of 2021.

Previous reports mentioned that the sales of the iPhone 12 mini only accounted for 5% of the total sales of the iPhone 12 series, and Apple may stop production in the second quarter of 2021 if there is no increase.

The iPhone 12 mini was launched to meet the needs of users looking for a mini-sized phone at an affordable price. This phone, which was launched in October 2020, has a 5.4-inch screen with a price starting at USD 699.

Although production has been discontinued, Apple is still selling the iPhone 12 mini on its official website until stocks run out. The phone is available in six colors, including purple which was just launched in April.

Despite the unsatisfactory performance of the iPhone 12 mini, Apple still plans to launch the iPhone 13 mini this year. But this model will likely be closed in 2020.
