Xiaomi Prepares HP with 192 MP Camera, Use Snapdragon 895 8

Samsung is preparing a 200MP camera sensor for mobile phones, and it looks like Xiaomi will be the first vendor to use this sensor. Now details about the Xiaomi mobile phone have started to emerge thanks to a leak from a Chinese tip.
Through his post on Weibo, an official from the China Digital Chat Station said that Xiaomi is preparing a phone with a 192 MP camera. This sensor will use 16-in-1 pixel binning technology that will produce 12 MP images when zoomed in or cropped.

This phone will use a chipset from Qualcomm with the code SM8450. This chipset will be the successor of the Snapdragon 888, which will likely carry the Snapdragon 895 name.

The chipset is built using 4 nm architecture and will feature a new generation Kryo 780 CPU core, a new Adreno 730 GPU, a new generation Spectra 680 GPU and an X65 modem that supports 5G networks.

Qualcomm is likely to introduce the Snapdragon 895 later this year. Lenovo is rumored to be the first vendor to use this new generation flagship chipset.

Digital Chat Station also revealed other details about this mysterious Xiaomi phone. The screen will have a curved design with a punch hole for the front camera, as quoted from GSM Arena, Wednesday (30/6/2021).

But what remains a mystery is the series of Xiaomi mobile phones that will carry this 192 MP camera. As is known, the first phone to have a 108 MP camera was the Mi Note 10 launched in 2019, and not a flagship phone.

What is certain is that this Xiaomi phone will not slip this year. Since the Snapdragon 895 was only announced at the end of the year, it is likely that Xiaomi will showcase the phone in late December 2021 and it will go on sale in China in January 2022.
