There are more mobile phones made by vendors from China. Currently there are mobile phones made by Asus, Xiaomi and Lenovo, and it looks like Oppo will go after these vendors.
Not long ago, the site 91mobil found the certificate of a mysterious Oppo mobile phone that has not yet been launched at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). This certification does not show the phone's code or name, but there is a picture of its design.
At first glance, the phone's design is similar to the Oppo Reno5 with four rear cameras. But Oppo has launched the Reno6 in several countries, and it seems a bit strange if this handset is included in the Reno5 family.
Also, the back of the phone has a graphic motif with a gamer aesthetic like the one found on the Asus ROG Phone 5 and Lenovo Legion Phone 2, so even though the name and specs are yet to be revealed, many assume this is a gaming phone.
The rest of the phone also looks similar to the Oppo Reno5, such as the power button on the right and the power button on the left. At the bottom there is a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack and a speaker.
Interestingly, there is no hole or punch on the screen for the front camera. So it is possible that this phone will have a camera under the screen or not have a selfie camera at all, as quoted from XDA Developers, Thursday (8/7/2021).
This certification does not reveal details about the specifications of this Oppo phone. But if it's really meant to be a gaming phone, Oppo will definitely include flagship specs like the Snapdragon 888 chipset and a screen with a high refresh rate.
Oppo itself has not commented or given any details about this phone, so we just have to wait for the official announcement. If the Oppo mobile is launched, it will face stiff competition from Asus ROG Phone 5, Redmi K40 Gaming, OnePlus 9R and Lenovo Legion 2 Pro.
