This Woman Had a Heart Attack Thanks to an Apple Watch

Apple Watch is back with an interesting story. This time, the smartwatch has successfully saved a woman from the symptoms of a heart attack.
Her name is Diane Feenstra, a woman from Michigan tells how Apple Watch has saved her life. Thanks to the Apple Watch he wears with a heart rate monitor and an EKG device, he is able to avoid death.

At the time, this Apple-made smart watch showed that he had a heart rate of 169 bpm, a number that is considered inappropriate in a state of inactivity.

He then went to a local emergency treatment center where based on the EKG doctors performed on him, it was indeed found that he had a 'widow's' heart attack without his knowledge.

A Widow's heart attack is a type of heart attack caused by a 100% blockage of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). It is also sometimes referred to as chronic total obstruction (CTO).

"Unlike men who often have chest tightness, women's symptoms are very different. I have pain in my left hand, I have a little swelling in my left leg, I have indigestion that I just described as acid reflux that I have. Along with age, " Feenstra said.

"The biggest thing is the pain in my shoulder," he continued. He also feels lucky and credits the performance of the Apple Watch for saving his life.

"It's very easy to see what your heart rate is with the Apple Watch, if I hadn't done it that morning, who knows, but I could have had another fatal heart attack," he said.
