Fortnite added a new game mode in the game, titled Impostor. The gameplay offered seems similar to the multiplayer game, namely Among Us.
Even so, Innersloth as the developer, has confirmed that the new mode is not the result of his collaboration with Epic Games. They also said fans can wait for Among Us to collaborate with other Indie developers.
"We didn't work with Epic on the making. Although we'd love to collaborate and get to know it like everyone else. However, we've worked on some cool collaborations with other indie developers," said Innersloth.
With the tagline "Trust Nobody", this provokes players' assumptions that lead them to the Among Us game. Technically, this mode brings together 10 players in one arena, where eight players act as Agents and two others become Impostors.
All players have tasks to complete to defend The Bridge. Meanwhile, Impostor's objective in the game is, of course, to eliminate all Agents without being caught.
Gamers can also hold meetings, to determine who the real culprit is. Similar to Among Us, if you make a wrong choice, you will lose your fellow Agents.
A different thing might be in the section when the player has been obliterated. Because they won't turn into ghosts.
The announcement regarding the Impostor mode was delivered by Epic through its official website. They also released a short 30 second trailer, showing how the Agent does his job and the Impostor will try to kill him.
Even so, it is very disappointing that this mode, which is very similar to Among Us, is not the result of Epic's collaboration with Innersloth. Given, Fortnite is a fairly popular Battle Royale game and apparently there are no credits in that mode.
