Galaxy Z Fold3's toughness compared to its predecessors

When Samsung first released a cellphone with a folding screen, namely the Galaxy Fold, the durability of the body was questioned a lot. But now in the 3rd generation foldable, namely the Galaxy Z Fold3, Samsung has certainly learned a lot about the toughness of folding screen phones.

The first is the choice of material for the body, namely Armor Aluminum, the strongest aluminum ever used for a cellphone - which is accompanied by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for the strongest protection against scratches and unexpected drops.

But the toughness doesn't stop there. The most fragile part of a folding screen phone is on the hinges and the folded part of the screen. That's why Samsung keeps the gap between the body and the hinge as small as possible.

Samsung also provides a special rubber coating on electronic components to protect them from water that may enter. The hinges of the device are also given an anti-rust coating to protect them from potential corrosion.

This folded part of the screen also uses a stretchable PET layer and a more optimized main screen panel, creating a screen that is 80% more durable than its predecessor.

The revolutionary Hideaway Hinge, first introduced in, allows devices to stay strong in one piece to support the innovative user experience of Flex Mode.

Hinge or hinge is promised to be folded as much as 200 thousand times, because it went through a rigorous folding test, verified by Bureau Veritas.

With the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, Samsung is once again redefining the capabilities foldable smartphones can offer users to take on a fast-paced world with the flexibility and versatility they need.
