Netflix Series Polemic About Jeffrey Epstein, Dangerous Sex Predator

Alan Dershowitz and Netflix are at odds over the Netflix series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich. They argue with each other.

At first, Dershowitz sued Netflix because they felt it presented him as if he was involved with a child trafficking network. Launching CNBC, Dershowitz's attorney commented that Netflix was doing something intentional to give a bad image to its clients.

Previously, it should be noted that Jeffrey Epstein is a controversial figure because he is a billionaire who is close to important people including former US president Donald Trump. He was also excited, he was reportedly friends with the Founder of Microsoft Bill Gates. Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on charges of being a child predator. He ended his own life shortly after going to jail.

For that, Dershowitz demanded USD 20 million times four -- because there were four causes of action (including defamation and breach of contract). Thus, a claim of USD 80 million was filed.

"Dershowitz's lawsuit is "baseless, and we will vigorously defend our partners and series," a Netflix spokesperson told CNBC in a statement.

Sure enough, Netflix doesn't want to give in to the accusations. Netflix is also suing the 82-year-old man, Deadline wrote.

"Netflix reserves the right to indemnify and indemnify because Dershowitz initiated this action with the intent (and, indeed, for the sole purpose of) harassing, intimidating, punishing, or maliciously impeding Netflix's free speech and petition," Netflix said in a statement.

According to Netflix, Dershowitz was interviewed for the series because he was part of a team that allegedly defended Epstein from 'sex crimes involving underage girls'. Additionally, she was personally drawn into Epstein's story when one of Epstein's victims, Virginia Giuffre accused Dershowitz of sexual harassment in a public court filing.
