The Clearest Photo of the Universe Ever, 1.5 Billion Pixels!

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has captured the highest quality and clearest photos of the universe ever. The photos reach 1.5 billion pixels!

This incredible 1.5 billion pixel (69,536 x 22,230) image is a snapshot of our closest galactic neighbor, the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). This photo was taken from NASA's Hubble Telescope which has very capable capabilities. Although M31 is Earth's closest neighbour, it is located more than 2 million light years from our planet.

But look at the photos, the clarity is amazing right? On a clear night Andromeda can be seen from Earth very beautifully. The Hubble Space Telescope is so powerful that it can capture very clear images, even identifying the stars individually. So, imagine photographing a beach and trying to pick up the grains of sand one by one.

Zooming in a little closer to the bright region of the sky, you can see how vast the M31 is. The existence of this photo is very valuable considering that scientists have been very interested and speculated since ancient times on the galaxy, as quoted from Earth Porm.

If you're curious, NASA broadcasts on its YouTube channel about this clearest photo capture ever. The footage consists of 7,398 exposures taken from 411 points, traveling more than 40,000 light years through 100 million stars.
