Brendan Greene, creator of the battle royale game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), decided to leave Krafton and form an independent game studio. He also revealed the latest game he is currently developing, namely Prologue.
Recently, Greene has shared more information regarding the new game. At a new game studio called Playerunknown Productions, he says that he has a deep, sandbox-style open world game and wants to make such a big world.
"We wanted to create a realistic sandbox world on a scale that's rarely tried. A world hundreds of kilometers away and thousands of players can interact, explore and create," said Greene.
Previously, the first trailer for Prologue had already aired on the Playerunknown Productions Youtube channel, in December 2019. However, there wasn't much to take from the short 30-second video.
Just showing a forest area in the middle of heavy rain and lightning strikes. Based on the trailer, it looks like players will be forced to survive, with all the elements available in the game.
"In Prologue, you must find a way, to traverse the wilderness. Then use some of the items and resources collected, to survive the journey, where bad weather is your enemy," said Greene.
He added that later there would be no in-game guide. In addition, it also does not present directions that can be followed like other survival games.
Even so, from all Greene's explanations regarding the gameplay that was carried, overall, this game is not free. He said this would be a technology demo and allow players to pay to get all the access.
Greene himself, has not announced when Prologue will be released and which platforms will be visited. But one thing is for sure, that this game will be available in online mode, if you keep the words in mind, where thousands of players can interact.
