Xiaomi is preparing its latest flagship phone which is likely to be named Xiaomi 12. This phone looks like it will only be launched early next year, but the shape of the phone that is suspected to be Xiaomi 12 has already been leaked.
A photo circulating on Chinese social media Weibo shows the shape of a cellphone that is suspected to be a Xiaomi 12. The cellphone is seen being held by someone in the subway.
The phone is wrapped in a thick black case so the design doesn't look so obvious, as quoted from Gizmochina, Sunday (31/10/2021).
The phone screen looks slightly longer, indicating a higher aspect ratio. But maybe this is just an influence from the angle of the photo.

Previous rumors said the Xiaomi 12 would have a punch hole for a smaller front camera and a larger screen-to-body ratio. The screen will also carry a curved design like many other flagship phones.
Unfortunately, since the leaked form of the phone is wrapped in a case, it is not known if the upgrade was actually carried over to the Xiaomi 12. Since the screen also displays very dark content, the size of the punch hole used is also unknown.
Xiaomi 12 itself is predicted to launch in the near future and has recently passed certification in India. If you look at the previous launch schedule, Xiaomi 12 is likely to launch in early 2022.
The Xiaomi 12 is likely to be one of the first phones to use the Snapdragon 898 chipset which will be Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset.
Other specifications that are likely to be carried include 12GB LPDDR5x RAM with 512GB UFS 3.1 internal memory. 120W fast charging technology and 50W wireless charging will likely be included.
