Google Makes Pragati OS Operating System, Different from Android?

Google created a new mobile operating system called Pragati OS. What is the difference with the existing Android today?

Pragati OS is the result of Google's collaboration with Reliance Jio, a mobile operator in India. It turns out that this operating system is still based on Android.

It's just that Pragati OS has been optimized to be installed smoothly on cheap phones released by Jio in the Ganges.

This operating system inherits almost all the advantages of Android Go presented for entry level phones, ranging from the Play Store, updates via OTA, and security patches.

In addition, the 'exclusive' application on Android Go is also integrated into the Pragati OS. There is Camera Go, Google Maps Go, Google Go, Google Assistant and more all of which are maximized for users in India.

The Camera Go app in Pragati OS has integration with Snapchat which provides Bollywood -tinted filters, as well as Google Lens for translation of 10 Indian languages. While Google Go will translate the page into Indian and can read it with. loud voice.

While on Google Assistant Go, users can interact with the digital assistant in Indian and get a response in the same language.

"I'm very proud of this new OS. Pragati OS has some of the coolest new features that are specially translated. I can speak in one language, and the phone will translate it into another," said Binish Parangodath, JioPhone Next Product Management.
