Huawei Has a Virtual Employee, His Name is YunSheng

At Huawei Connect 2021, Huawei Cloud CEO Zhang Ping'an introduced the newest employee, YunSheng. Not just any employee, Yunsheng is a virtual employee powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

At the event which was held in September 2021, Zhang gave a speech while introducing YunSheng who was standing beside him.

It is known, YunSheng was developed using Huawei's digital content channel, which consists of AI Automatic modeling, AI Voice drive, and AI rendering acceleration. These three technologies are considered to be the key to Huawei's success in developing the perfect virtual human.

On that occasion, Zhang was seen interacting directly with YunSheng.

"Hello, I'm Yunsheng. I just joined Huawei. I'm very happy to be on the same stage as the President today," he wrote, quoted from the Pandadaily page.

Besides introducing himself, YunSheng also explained about Huawei Cloud in various cases in a unique and funky style. However, until now, Huawei has not provided further information regarding YunSheng's role in the company.

Previously, Huawei had developed the first virtual person by the name of Lysa. However, Lysa has not been officially introduced by the company. Lysa is a female character designed with digital art that includes illustration, modeling, digital rendering to high-precision automated generation. Similar to Yunsheng, Lysa's character also looks real, from the skin, eyes, to facial expressions that resemble real humans.

For information, Huawei Cloud is under the auspices of a Chinese technology company, Huawei. The company is a global cloud computing service provider that provides secure, scalable and on-demand computing resources, enabling flexible deployment of applications and workloads.

According to Zhang, to date Huawei Cloud has managed to attract 2.3 million developers, 14 thousand consulting partners, and 6 thousand technical partners. In addition, he said Huawei Cloud has also issued 4,500 cloud products and services. With the technology it has, it's no wonder that in the next few years Huawei Cloud will quickly dominate the market.
