In the past, when you wanted to listen to music on your computer, users had to download it first, then play it on the music player. And back then, Winamp was the default music player that almost everyone had. But since the advent of music streaming service applications, the need for a music player has disappeared.
Currently, we just have to open music streaming applications such as Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music and others when we want to listen to music. Well, it looks like Winamp is coming back. According to AudioValley's announcement, the owners and their parent company of Winamp are looking to bring the Winamp music player back to life.
Like rising from the grave, the company will make Winamp for the next generation. Not only updated, Winamp version "rises from the grave" is promised to actually be a remaster alias total change.
"The new Winamp connects you to music wherever you are. It brings you closer to the artists you love. The service is home to your favorite music podcasts and radio stations," says AudioValley.
It looks like AudioValley might relaunch Winamp as a streaming platform and leverage certain brands to help attract attention, given the popularity of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music currently dominating the music scene.
