Android 12 Troubled on Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3

Samsung started deploying OneUI 4.0 beta based on Android 12 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 devices. Now the update is starting to be fully deployed, and it's become a problem.

Reported by SamMobile, Thursday (12/9/2021), many users of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 reported problems after they updated their devices to OneUI 4.0, although some of the problems were limited to South Korea.

The most serious problem that has occurred so far is the brick, aka the device cannot turn on, also the device can only enter recovery mode. Other serious problems are the screen flickering, dark mode, the phone becomes slow, and the Dual Messenger feature doesn't work in some apps.

However, other problems continue to emerge from reports on Samsung's support forums in South Korea. These problems include users not being able to take screenshots, not being able to use Netflix and YouTube, and photos missing from the gallery.

Some users of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 also report that their device can only use a 60Hz refresh rate after the update, not 120 Hz which is the screen refresh rate of the folding screen phone.

The problem that keeps popping up is reportedly causing Samsung to temporarily stop the deployment of Android 12 for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 until they can fix the problem.

Some of the new features that are presented by Samsung in OneUI 4.0 include:

1. Express User Personality

One UI 4 allows users to express their individual personalities. With a wide variety of new Color Palettes to choose from, you can change the look and feel of everything from the home screen to icons, menus, buttons and backgrounds.

2. Emojis

Samsung provides a more attractive and diverse range of emojis in one place, so users can easily configure options to enjoy a more exciting communication experience.

3. Privacy

With One UI 4, Samsung brings the latest enhancements to privacy and security features. So users can choose what they want to share or keep secret.

4. Ecosystem

One UI 4 helps users make the most of a broad ecosystem that spans from Samsung's suite of devices to third-party apps, providing a more robust mobile experience.
