In an official statement we received, Twitter said the list was compiled based on an analysis of conversations between January 1 and November 15, 2021.
Of the many topics discussed by netizens, Twitter revealed one teaser with the highest engagement, namely the @Olympics account teaser that announced the victory at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Twitter also shared a list of topics most talked about by netizens. There are some tags that are quite commonly talked about such as #bts, #badminton and #genshinimpact.
But, this bird logo application also recorded an increase in conversations about cryptocurrencies and digital assets on its platform. Tags like #crypto and #nft are also on the top 10 list.
Twitter netizens also talk a lot about accounts whose jokes are entertaining to accounts that share common knowledge.
To be more expressive, netizens also use emojis a lot in their tweets on Twitter. According to their data, the most used emoji by netizens is the crying emoji.
Not forgetting the emoji of trophies, medals, and badminton rackets to enliven Twitter to give support to the athletes who competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
In 2021, people continue to use Twitter to see what's happening and connect with communities and conversations that mean something to them.
