China finds 'mysterious house' object on far side of moon

How surprised the China National Space Administration (CNSA) was when exploring the far side of the Moon, there appeared to be a mysterious object shaped like a 'house'.

This was known by Yutu-2, the rover robot that is currently on the mainland on the far side of the Moon since 2019. The position of the mysterious object is in the form of a cube that looks strange from a distance.

As quoted from Cnet, Saturday (4/12/2021) Andrew a journalist who participated in China's space program said that the object was 80 meters from Yutu-2, precisely around the Von Karnam crater.

Jones said that the CNSA called the object seen as a 'mystery house'. To find out more, Yutu-2 seeks to approach him in the next 2-3 days.

Initially, the object of the 'mystery house' was a large rock. However, because of the shape of the cube from a distance, it made China curious to investigate it.

Yutu-2 is part of the Chang'e-4 mission, an exploration of the surface of the far side of the Moon. This far side of the Moon will help scientists learn about what happens to Earth's natural satellite.

To note, China has two robots placed on the Moon. Apart from Chang'e-4, there was also the Yutu-2 rover accompanying him. The two robots will resume work on capturing images of the far side of the Moon on January 18-19, 2020.

The Chang'e 4 mission will be followed by the Chang'e 5 mission which will be the final chapter of CNSA's Chang'e program. Chang'e 5 includes a rover robot that collects samples and brings them to Earth. Obtaining this sample will be a first for China and its space program.

Meanwhile, Yutu-2 will roll out a deep science investment on the dark side of the Moon by bringing science equipment that can analyze the surface and subsurface of the Von Karnam crater and the South Pole-Aitken Basin.
