Oppo will compete with Samsung in presenting a folding screen phone. At the INNO Day 2021 event, the Chinese vendor will introduce the Oppo Find N, which is a competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
"Oppo Find N, a foldable smartphone that is really easy to use and can provide an innovative experience," said Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer of Oppo.
The figure, known as the Founder of OnePlus, said that the Oppo Find N was the result of four years of research and during that time they had made six generations of prototypes.
"This device is Oppo's answer to the future of smartphones, and one I've really enjoyed since taking on the role of chief product officer at Oppo," he said.
The first generation of the Find N prototype was born internally in April 2018. Although several other brands have introduced foldable devices to the market, barriers such as utility, durability and user experience have become the stumbling blocks for foldable devices to become a daily driver that for most people. . When Pete joined Oppo last year, he took over the project and guided the team over the hurdles to make a foldable phone available to the market.
Pete reveals two principles that were held in the development of the Find N. First the device has to be beautiful.
"We believe that a good product should first be beautiful and pleasing - simple in design, natural and comfortable in materials. It needs to offer strong performance while maintaining an appropriate weight and size," he explains.
Second, a product must be really useful and easy to use. Apart from that it should provide users with a well balanced experience.
For a foldable smartphone, the closed-screen and open-screen experience should be equally easy to use. Not only that, it must create an innovative efficient experience that traditional smartphones cannot provide.
"With Find N, we've solved key issues with previous foldable smartphones, such as screen creases and overall device durability, by creating the best hinge and screen design available today. We look forward to really pushing the foldable screen experience forward. , said Pete.

Referring to the Gizmochina leak, the Oppo Find N will be powered by Snapdragon 888 paired with 12 GB of RAM. It has 512GB of internal memory and runs ColorOS 12 based on Android 12.
