It has become a standard for Xiaomi to present devices with qualified specifications but are priced at pocket-friendly prices. This is illustrated by the Xiaomi 11T Pro which was officially launched last November on the market.
Xiaomi 11T Pro is equipped with a flagship chipset from Qualcomm. With an affordable price tag, it makes it the cheapest Snapdragon 888 cellphone in the country.
But the appeal of this cellphone is not limited to that, a number of interesting features are provided by Xiaomi. But does all that make the Xiaomi 11T Pro worthy of being your daily driver? Here's a brief review.
Design
The Xiaomi 11T Pro reviewed by detikINET is the Moonlight White variant. The frame is made of aluminum combined with a polycarbonate back cover.
Xiaomi polished this back with a smooth matte finish. Freeing this cellphone from the impression of being cheap and making it look beautiful and free of fingerprints.
It's just that when you hold it, it's a little slippery, especially when you're sweating, so pairing a case is highly recommended. Xiaomi itself provides a transparent silicone case in the sales package, but if you want to be more stylish, you can look for alternatives in online and offline accessory stores.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a bit heavy when in hand, weighing up to 204 grams. Even so, the dimensions of this cellphone are still comfortable in the hand or when put in a jeans pocket.
Despite using an AMOLED panel, Xiaomi does not pair a fingerprint sensor on the screen. This Chinese vendor places it together with the power button.
The position of the button is easy to reach. But the fingerprint sensor is not fast enough to scan fingerprints, it often fails, which ultimately makes us have to fill in a passcode to unlock it.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is still pairing the IR Blaster sensor so you can use this cellphone as a remote for electronic devices at home. But Xiaomi removed the 3.5 mm audio jack port.
I don't know what the reason is considering the body of this phone is not very thin. But we ourselves don't really mind it because lately we use TWS more often, in fact we never use wired earphones anymore.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is IP53 certified which means it is dust and splash resistant. Hopefully the successor will be made waterproof to reduce anxiety during the rainy season.
Screen and Audio
The screen is one aspect that we admire about the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The screen measures 6.67 inches with Full HD + resolution and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus.
This cellphone uses an AMOLED panel with 1 billion colors to make the eyes so spoiled by the picture treats. Xiaomi provides Dolby Vision support which is automatically activated when watching supported content.
With a brightness level of up to 1,000 nits using the Xiaomi 11T Pro in the hot sun it doesn't matter, because the screen is still clearly visible.
Xiaomi also presents support for a 120 Hz refresh rate which provides a smooth experience when scrolling the screen. But it does have a slight impact on battery consumption.
However, if the eyes are used to the 120Hz refresh rate, they will be reluctant to return to 60Hz. So the battery is more wasteful is no longer a concern.
To maximize the display, users are given a number of control options such as calibrating the screen. It's all in the Color Scheme section.
Not to forget there is an AI Image Engine that can make the screen display smoother images and livelier transitions.
Enjoying content on the Xiaomi 11T Pro is increasingly satisfied with the resulting audio quality. Xiaomi installed symmetrical dual speakers so that the audio output is more balanced.
In addition, the speakers are tuned by Harman Kardon to make the audio quality satisfying when watching movies, playing games or listening to music. Moreover, there is support for Dolby Atmos.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro also supports LDAC and aptX HD codecs, so you can enjoy lossless music using TWS connected via Bluetooth.
Camera
On the back of the Xiaomi 11T Pro there are three cameras with the following configuration:
Main camera: 108MP, 0.7μm pixel size, 2.1μm 9-in-1 Super Pixel (after pixel binning), f/1.75 aperture
Ultra-wide: 8MP, 120° FOV, f/2.2 . aperture
Telemacro: 5MP, f/2.4 aperture, variable AutoFocus (3 - 7cm)
While the front camera has a size of 16 MP with an aperture of f/2.5.
With these supplies, this cellphone is able to take beautiful photos in all conditions. But what's interesting is that Xiaomi provides a number of features that make it fun to capture the moment, both photos and videos. For example, Super Macro photos, Long Exposure and Movie Effects.
Performance
The Xiaomi 11T Pro that was loaned to us has a Snapdragon 888 processor with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. On paper, the combination delivers smooth performance.
Sure enough, when we use, this HP is fast for all the tasks we run. We had time to play Call of Duty Mobile with right-aligned settings, the game ran smoothly without the slightest lag and no heat was felt on the back.
We had time to do a number of benchmarks, the scores were inscribed high. Here are the results:
Antutu: 610,864
PCMark Work 3.0: 13,029
Geekbench 5 Single Core: 802
Geekbench 5 Multi Core: 3085
Battery
The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 11T Pro is quite large, which is 5,000 mAh. But what makes it special is the 120W charging support.
Xiaomi promises to fully charge the device in just 17 minutes. Unfortunately when we tried it exceeded that duration.
To fully charge the Xiaomi 11T Pro, it took us 30 minutes. This is even like the 67W charging technology presented on the Xiaomi 11T.
Curious that it couldn't reach 17 minutes, we asked Xiaomi. They said the figure was obtained from his laboratory under various conditions and was carried out from 2-100%.
"So there really are a number of conditions that make the charging process ideally up to 17 minutes. And the variables vary so that they can be varied, between 17-22 minutes," said a Xiaomi spokesperson.
Unfortunately several times we tried it, starting from 2-10% battery condition, never less than 30 minutes.
The battery itself lasts up to 12 hours of use. This agrees with the test results with PCMark Work 3.0 which recorded 11 hours 48 minutes.
