A new report reveals that Apple managed to become the most valuable brand in the world for 2022. Meanwhile its competitors such as Google, Samsung and Huawei have also reached the top 10 rankings.
Reported by us from Gizmochina, Saturday (29/1/2022) according to a report from the Brand Directory, Cupertino-based Apple has a valuation of USD 355.1 billion. Please note, these figures are based on a self-report and do not represent the market cap of the iPhone maker.
Looking at the top 10 list, we can also see other well-known brands like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Walmart, each of which occupies the top 5 places. On the other hand Samsung, Facebook, ICBC, Huawei, and Verizon round up the last five spots in the top 10 list.
The report further adds that Apple's brand rating is up an impressive 35% over the previous year, which helped it achieve the highest rating ever recorded by the Brand Directory.
"Apple has a stellar year in 2021, highlighted by its achievement in early 2022, becoming the first company to reach a $3 trillion market valuation. The tech giant's success has historically rested on honing its core brand positioning, but its more recent growth can be attributed to the company's recognition that its brand can be applied effectively to a much wider range of services," the Brand Directory report said.
The report also reveals the fastest growing brands. TikTok also managed to get to the number position with its brand value tripled in 2022 compared to the previous year.
"TikTok is the fastest growing brand in the world. With an astonishing 215% growth, the value of the entertainment app brand has increased from USD 18.7 billion in 2021 to USD 59.0 billion this year," they said.
"Claiming 18th position among the 500 most valuable brands in the world, this is the highest newcomer to the 2022 Brand Finance Global 500 ranking." write the Brand Directory statement.
