MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Samsung have both unveiled their flagship system on a chip (SoC) for 2022, and now a comparison of the benchmark scores of the three has emerged. MediaTek wins.
Ice Universe via its Twitter account shared benchmark results using Geekbench 5 of the three SoCs, and the result is that Dimensity 9000 is faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200, both single-core and multi-core.
In the leak, Dimensity got a score of 1278 for single-core and 4410 for multi-core. While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scores 1231 and 3752, and the Exynos 2200 scores 1109 and 3534, for single-core and multi-core, respectively.
The Dimensity 9000 only loses to Apple's A15 Bionic, which has a single-core score of 1750 and a multi-core score of 4885.

Previously, there was also an AnTuTu score leak for this SoC, which showed that Dimensity 9000 is indeed faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, as quoted by GSM Arena, Tuesday (25/1/2022).
This benchmark test was showcased through a video uploaded on Weibo. The video shows a device running Dimensity 9000 and tested using benchmark platforms such as AnTuTu, Geekbench, PCMark, and others.
Keep in mind, currently only Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is available 'in the form of' mobile phones, namely on Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. While the Dimensity 9000 and Exynos 2200 don't exist yet. So, the score that can be considered accurate is only Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
MediaTek previously confirmed that the Dimensity 9000 will be used in many mobile phone brands, such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor, which will launch in Q1 2022.
The Dimensity 9000 is the world's first smartphone chipset made with 4nm fabrication. In addition, this chipset uses the latest v9 architecture from Arm which promises increased security and performance.
Not only that, the Dimensity 9000 is the first CPU to use Arm's new core design. It has 1x Cortex X2 with a speed of 3GHz, 3x Cortex A710 with a speed of 2.85GHz and 4x Cortex A510 with a speed of 1.8GHz.
While in the graphics sector, MediaTek has installed an ARM Mali G70 GPU that promises a 20% performance increase over its predecessor. This GPU is capable of supporting a Full HD + display with a refresh rate of 180Hz.
