Google Folding Screen Phone Price Leaks, Starting from USD 1,400

Rumors about the presence of a Google folding screen phone are widely heard again. This phone is said to be sold at a lower price than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, and now the price range has been revealed.

According to a 9to5Google report, Google's foldable phone will carry the name Pixel Notepad, not the previously rumored Pixel Fold. This phone is predicted to be sold at a price of around USD 1,400, as quoted by us.

This target price came from two individual sources familiar with Google's plans. 9to5Google stresses these prices may change in the run-up to launch.

If the price rumors are accurate, then the Google Pixel Notepad will cost $500 more than the Google Pixel 6.

The Google Pixel Notepad will carry a design that is more like the Oppo Find N than the Galaxy Z Fold. This means that this phone will have a short and wide shape, rather than tall and slim.

The phone will be powered by the Google Tensor chip, just like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. But the Google Pixel Notepad will not carry the Samsung GN1 camera sensor like the one on the Pixel 6 because it is too thick.

For photography, this phone will use a Sony IMX363 sensor with a resolution of 12.2 MP, the same as the one on the Google Pixel 3, 4, and 5. This sensor was chosen because it is thinner than the Samsung GN1.

This main camera will be paired with a 12 MP ultrawide camera that uses a Sony IMX386 sensor. Two 8 MP selfie cameras with Sony IMX355 sensors will complete its photography features.

9to5Google says there will be quite a distance between the launch of the Google Pixel Notepad in the US and globally. The latest news mentions that Google's first folding screen phone will be released globally at the end of 2022.
