Apple Music Reduces Free Trial Period

Apple quietly made major changes to its music streaming service Apple Music this week by reducing the free trial period from three months to one month.

The three-month free trial helped set Apple Music apart from competitors like Spotify when it first launched in 2015, but the service now offers an industry standard of just one month free.

Reporting us from 9to5Mac, via the Apple Music website indicates that all users are eligible for one month of free access to the service. After the one month trial is complete, the plan will automatically renew for the full price of USD 9.99 or around Rp. 143 thousand per month.

This reduced free trial period applies to all countries that Apple Music supports, Apple Music itself is already available in more than 15 countries around the world.

However, Apple is still offering a six-month trial of Apple Music for new customers who purchase an eligible audio product. This includes purchases of AirPods Pro, AirPods 2, AirPods 3, AirPods Max, Beats, and HomePod mini.

"New customers can get six months of free Apple Music with an eligible audio device. Make sure your iPhone or iPad is running the latest version of iOS or iPadOS." wrote Apple.

"You can then activate the Apple Music trial after pairing the audio device to your iPhone or iPad. You have three months to redeem the offer after your first eligible device activation." he explained.
