Bill Gates was attacked again. This time he is called a bully in his office and his kindness is only an image of a good public relations (PR) result.
This report was provided by four former Microsoft employees, all women. They depict the figure of Bill Gates with a short axis.
"Meeting Bill is an opportunity to be scolded, so I try to avoid it," said a former Microsoft executive told Business Insider, Wednesday (2/2/2022).
The former employee also said that the PR team at Microsoft is very much in control of the information and is too afraid of a perception. Plus, there are reports that Microsoft's PR team is trying to keep Melinda French's ex-husband private, as quoted from Money Control.
Maria Klawe, a former member of Microsoft's board, also spoke up. According to him, Gates did not accept suggestions about increasing diversity in planning, suggestions that are usually offered by female employees. He is said to behave as if he is the smartest person in the room.
Bill Gates' image is not good lately. Following his divorce in May, several media reports highlighted Gates' behavior at work and his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. There is also a story from The New York Times where Gates asked a female employee to have dinner with him.
Furthermore, A separate report by The Wall Street Journal said Microsoft's board had started an investigation into Gates' previous romantic relationship with an employee, before he stepped down from the board in March 2020.
