Apple's iPhone SE 3 will reportedly be launched in a matter of weeks. For those who are interested in proposing a new iPhone, is it better to buy the existing iPhone 13 or wait for the iPhone SE 3 first?
If money is not an issue, surely the iPhone 13 is a better choice with the latest design and specs. But if you want to save, maybe there's no harm in waiting for what the 3rd generation iPhone SE will look like.
As quoted by detikINET from Tom's Guide, the official price of the iPhone SE 3 is probably quite far below the iPhone 13 Mini, perhaps in the range of USD 400 or Rp. 5.7 million in the United States. Even with the addition of 5G features, it is estimated that the price is still reasonable.
One of the interesting things about the iPhone SE is that the processor is exactly the same as the latest flagship iPhone. Thus, the iPhone SE 3 will most likely use the powerful A15 Bionic chip as in the iPhone 13.
"Although the iPhone SE 3 may not have as much RAM as the others, it will match the processing power of the iPhone 13," said Tom's Guide.
However, because the price is cheaper, of course there are sacrifices. In terms of design, the iPhone SE 3 is predicted to have an old-school style with thick bezels. The screen is smaller than the iPhone 13 Mini, but because of the large bezel size, it is predicted that it will be even larger.
Then the camera is likely to remain single like the previous version of the iPhone SE. There's a night mode, but goodbye to ultrawide angle cameras or telephoto lenses. The battery sector is not expected to last as long as the iPhone 13.
So what's the conclusion? "The iPhone SE 3 would be a great choice for those who want a new iPhone but don't want to pay too much. Having the A15 chip means there's no need to sacrifice power to save money. But if you want a phone that lasts, great photography or a combination of features, then iPhone 13 is a better choice," said Tom's Guide.
