Chrome is still unwavering as the king of the world's browsers. Until now, this browser made by Google is still widely used by netizens throughout the country.
According to the latest statistics from StatsCounter, Chrome's market share still reaches over 65.3% on the desktop platform. But the interesting thing is the battle for the second position.
Safari is still the runner-up, but its position is vulnerable to being overtaken by Edge, Microsoft's browser. Not only that, there is Firefox that comes in the shadows.
Apple's browser has a market share of 9.84%. While Edge has a market share of 9.53%, and Firefox 91.18%.
No doubt Edge can be a serious threat to Safari. Because Microsoft is so keen to develop the browser.
Just see in just two years Edge can overtake Firefox. It's not impossible that in the next few years, with the increasing adoption of Windows 11, Edge could shift Safari's position.
Switching to the mobile platform, the ruler is not much different. Chrome is still firmly in the first position as the most widely used browser on mobile phones worldwide.
Chrome's market share reached 63.06%. In second place is occupied by Safari with a market share of 26.7%, this is not surprising with the number of iPhone and iPad users using the default browser of the operating system.
In third position there is Samsung Internet with 5.2% control, that's thanks to the use by default on Galaxy phones. The last two are Opera 1.89% and UC Browser 1.57%.
