Don't Stay Silent! America's Advanced Drones Move Over Russian Soldiers

War has erupted between Russia and Ukraine, with Russia starting the invasion. Although for now it has stated that it will not send troops, the United States certainly will not remain silent watching from a distance with the latest drones.

In recent times, in the skies of Ukraine which are empty due to the conflict with Russia, advanced drones belonging to the US military have passed. The drone, known as the RQ Global Hawk, frequently circumnavigates Ukrainian airspace, possibly to monitor the movement of Russian troops.

According to Flight Radar monitoring, the two spy drones fly regularly from the Mediterranean Sea to Ukraine. The drone is very expensive, the price is in the range of USD 220 million.

The point is to survey a very large area. In a day, the area that could be watched could be the size of South Korea or Iceland.

The two drones are said to be the only ones active in Ukrainian airspace. Perhaps the US did it on purpose as a show of force and to insist that they remain present in Ukraine at a time when the Russian threat becomes real.

"The mission demonstrates our ongoing commitment to security in the region," said a US Air Force spokesman.

The mission of this kind of drone is to gather intelligence to support soldiers. While the company that makes it Northrop Grumman, says this drone can record high-resolution images over a wide area and can operate day and night in all weathers.

On February 15, FlightRadar monitored the drone that had flown for more than 21 hours over Ukrainian territory. The plane with a wingspan of nearly 40 meters can indeed fly more than 30 hours without a break. Now that Russia is actually invading Ukraine, it is not yet known whether this mission will continue.
