Follow YouTube, Twitter Test Video Speed Playback Feature?

Twitter said it was testing a playback speed feature that can be adjusted to play video content and voice tweets posted to the platform.

Later users can select a playback speed range from the slowest 0.25x to 2x for the fastest playback. There are eight speed options, each available in 0.25X increments.

This test only involved a select few Android and web users. And if you are one of them then you can see this feature by the settings icon at the top of the screen when clicking on a video.

In 2x, 1x, 0.5x…now testing more options in playback speed for videos.

Launching from Digital Trends, the playback speed feature on Twitter is similar to Youtube's feature which was launched in 2017.

This feature makes it easier for users, especially for those who don't have much free time to watch in full so they can speed up to the part they need.

Or also for those who miss parts of the video or can't clearly hear what the voice is saying can slow down the speed of the video.

It's worth noting, though, that the playback speed features for the new video and audio tweets are still in the testing phase, so it's not clear whether Twitter will actually roll them out publicly.

However, if the test performance goes well and gets a positive response from users, it is likely that this feature will be rolled out to all users, including iOS users.
