The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has recently seemed to get along with Tesla boss and owner, Elon Musk. Joe Biden's latest comments on Twitter seem to have offended Musk.
Biden hasn't mentioned Tesla by the name of this company for a long time so that's what pissed Musk off. Now for the first time, Biden wrote Tesla's name in his comments regarding electric car infrastructure in the United States.
But as quoted by us from the Independent, what Biden said was less pleasant because it called the US behind China in the development of electric vehicles.
"China has taken the lead in the electric vehicle race, but that is about to change. We are building a convenient and reliable national charging network," Joe Biden wrote on his official Twitter account.
Elon Musk replied with the caption Tesla while posting a news link about the 5 biggest electric car manufacturers in 2021. Tesla took first place, which means, Elon Musk does not accept that the US is lagging behind China in terms of electric cars.
Musk has repeatedly protested why Biden seemed to disown Tesla. Even some time ago, there was an online petition asking Biden to acknowledge Tesla's leadership in the electric car industry. The petition has been signed by tens of thousands of netizens.
When asked for an explanation, the White House confirmed that Biden might appear to be ignoring Tesla. That's because Tesla and Elon Musk have so far refused to acknowledge the existence of the Union. Biden prefers old automotive companies such as Ford or General Motors that support the existence of the Labor Union so that employee rights are more concerned.
