MWI Mobile Legends Becomes the Most Popular Women's Esports Tournament

 


Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women's Invitational (MWI) and Woman Star League (WSL) Season 4, have successfully become the most popular women's esports tournaments. These two competitions were able to gather fans to watch it ranging from tens to hundreds of thousands of spectators.

WSL Season 4 itself is a regional league sponsored by Moonton and the Indonesian Gaming League. It features a female amateur team, along with well-known esports organizations, such as RRQ Mika, Evos Lynx and Onic Zenith. This prestigious event has aired for up to 101 hours and gained 111,642 Peak Viewers.


The big event was taken by MWI 2022. This prestigious Southeast Asian event brought more Peak Viewers to reach 392,000 spectators. With 84% Hours Watched coming from Indonesian live broadcasts, quoted by us from Esports Charts, Thursday (3/2/2022).


For the most popular match in the competition, namely the Grand Final match between Bigetron Era vs GPX Together. Which is the all-time record for a women's esports tournament.


Apart from Indonesia, MWI 2022 itself is followed by a row of great teams, starting from Lugiami (Singapore), Bren Victress (Philippines), Smart Omega Empress (Philippines), Karra (Malaysia), On Air Pipol (Malaysia), IDNS Princess (Laos) and Impunity Starlets (Cambodia). They fight for a total prize worth USD 15 thousand .



The matches are broadcast live on various platforms. Using a match format similar to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup.


The good news is that two Indonesian representative teams, namely Bigetron Era and GPX Basreng, were able to secure a slot in the Grand Final. Even so, Funny and his friends have not been able to avenge their defeat in WSL Season 4.
