It was revealed who the founder of Yuga Labs, the company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) project, was able to sell Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) of up to billions of rupiah.
For information, BAYC is able to sell the most expensive collection of NFT digital art in the world today.
So far, the founders of BAYC, which has a diverse collection of digital art in the form of images of bored monkeys with various looks and expressions, are Gordon Goner and Gagamel.
Apparently, the name was not actually a pseudonym. The real name is Gordon Goner Wylie Aronow, a 35-year-old man from Florida, USA and Gagamel's real name is Greg Solano, 32 years old, as reported by Coin Desk, Wednesday (9/2/2022).
Then the United States (US) media, BuzzFeed, conducted an investigation and the results of the search were disclosed to the public.
It all started with BuzzFeed tracing the public business records of Yuga Labs, which is incorporated in Delawware, apparently leading to Solano's address.
The two BAYC creators did not dispute the results of the BuzzFeed investigation. Then tweet satirically comparing Web2 vs Web3.
However, neither Aronow nor Solano drew the Bored Ape. It is stated that there are three founders of BAYC whose identities are not yet known.
On the other hand, the publication of this BAYC creator shows that the issue of anonymity is still a chore. Because, in the crypto world, the average person involved uses a pseudonym.
In fact, publishing the results of the investigation conducted by BuzzFeed as doxing, namely publishing someone's personal information to the public.
