Prediction of Mac Rows Released During 2022, There are M1 and M2

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg again issued his prediction about Apple's plans for 2022, to be precise about the launch of Mac devices.

During 2022, Gurman said Apple would release a number of Mac devices. All of them use Apple Silicon, and are divided between M1 Pro, M1 Max, and M2, as quoted by GSM Arena, Tuesday (22/2/2022).

Those Mac devices are:

Mac mini with M1 Pro and M2

New design MacBook Pro 13 and MacBook Air with M2

24 inch iMac with M2

iMac Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max

Small Mac Pro with two or four M1 Max

So in 2022, Apple has finally completed the transition to its own chips. This transition begins in 2020 with the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and MacBook Air.

So far, only the iMac Pro and Mac Pro are still using Intel processors. The iMac Pro is said to be released in May or June with a 27-inch mini LED screen with ProMotion 120Hz.

While the launch of the first Mac in 2022 will occur on March 8th, what is likely to be the new-designed MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro, which will be positioned below the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

The launch of the Mac Pro will likely be at WWDC, using two and four M1 Max chips in it. There may be 20 CPU cores and 64 graphics cores in the first variant, and 40 CPU cores and 128 graphics cores in the second variant.

The use of Apple Silicon on the Mac has proven to be effective for Apple. Just look, from fiscal year 2011 to 2022, the Mac division's revenue was between USD 21 billion and USD 28 billion. Meanwhile in 2021? Its income penetrated USD 35 billion, even higher than the iPad.
