Samsung and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) invited six young people from various countries in the Global Goals program. They will join a community called Generation 17 to mobilize the global community, educate people about the importance of the Global Goals and build impactful and inclusive solutions that help promote prosperity while protecting the planet by 2030.

The six selected youths are:
AY Young (United States): Musician who produces albums and holds concerts who share interesting ways to tackle the problem of global energy poverty.
Kristian Kampmann (Denmark): Leader of UNLEASH, an innovation lab driving creative and inclusive solutions for the Global Goals.
Nora Altwaijri (Saudi Arabia): Software engineer who educates people about Global Goals and connects them with useful resources through digital platforms.
OÄŸuz Ergen (Turkey): Activist who brings NGOs, academics and government together to discuss the climate crisis and protect the Aegean coastal region.
Tamara Dewi Gondo Soerijo (Indonesia): Founder of a social enterprise that empowers female refugees by providing upskilling opportunities and access to markets.
Thuy Anh Ngo (Vietnam): Entrepreneur who launches a mobile app that helps the elderly
by providing advice and activities to maintain physical and mental health.
"2022 is a defining year in our efforts to achieve the Global Goals, as the COVID-19 pandemic has reversed decades of progress in global human development. Despite these grim realities, I am confident that the strength and perseverance of the younger generation will help us build something more both from this crisis, and driving positive change in education, inclusion and climate. These six young leaders and the entire Generation17 community remind us that we need to step up efforts to achieve the Global Goals and protect our common future," explained Achim Steiner, UNDP Administrator.
Since its launch, Generation17 has been spearheaded by and supporting youth. Currently Generation 17 has expanded to all corners of the world, including countries in Africa, Asia, CIS & Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East.
Their activities will raise awareness of global solutions to pressing problems facing humanity in 2022 and in the years to come, along with their activities in advancing digital innovation, empowering refugee women through education and job training, coaching for the elderly on physical and mental health. mental and much more.
