Samsung officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G, Samsung Galaxy S22+ 5G, and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G which carry the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm chipset, aka 'the fastest processor ever'. Logically, the improved performance produced by the processor will certainly increase the work intensity of the smartphone and make it heat up faster.
However, on the Galaxy S22 Series 5G Samsung has developed a new cooling system designed to keep the device cool when used to do heavy work continuously.
The cooling system on the Galaxy S22 Series 5G uses thermal interface material (TIM) technology called Gel-TIM. As the name suggests, the Gel-TIM is shaped like a thermal gel/paste that Samsung claims has a 3.5 times better heat transfer efficiency than previous models.
Then, at the top of Gel-TIM is attached another layer of cooling system, namely Nano-TIM. This layer is one of Samsung's latest innovations that serves as a protector of electromagnetic interference from the chipset as well as a heat transmitter to other components.
Nano-TIM is made of nano-fiber material that is more flexible and resistant to pressure. This layer can propagate heat more quickly to the vapor chamber (VC). VC itself is a component of a cooling system that is now popularly used as a heat spreader or thermal spreader.
Samsung also developed the latest VC model for the Galaxy S22 Series 5G. To accommodate the larger battery size and narrower internal space of the smartphone, Samsung created a VC model that connects the chipset with the battery so that the heat dissipation is done more efficiently.
The VC on the Galaxy S22 Series 5G is made of double -bonded stainless steel that is designed to be thinner and more durable, and able to cover more areas inside the smartphone.
All these technologies are designed in such a way as to create a more perfect cooling system for all Samsung Galaxy S22 Series 5G models. With this new cooling technology, you can continue to enjoy optimal performance without having to worry about overheating.
