5 American Aid Weapons Deployed to Ukraine

The United States has become the most diligent country in providing weapons assistance to Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion. Thousands of weapons have been given at high and deadly prices. Anything? Here's the list as quoted by us from NDTV:

1. Switchblade suicide drone

The United States has reportedly agreed to deploy a new weapon to Ukraine in the form of a suicide drone called the Switchblade. This drone is made by the AeroVironment company and is one of the mainstays of the US military. It was nicknamed the 'kamikaze' drone because it hit its target with a high warhead so that both of them were destroyed.

The Switchblade 300 which is quite small is designed to target human personnel, while the larger Switchblade 600 is intended to destroy tanks and similar vehicles.

2. Javelin anti-tank missiles

The United States delivered Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine about 300 units at the crew stage and there were also donations from Estonia and Britain. As the name implies, this missile is primarily used to destroy enemy tanks.

The Javelin weapon system can be mounted on a tactical vehicle or simply carried. When fired, the missile will shoot upwards, then plunge into the tank where the material is most vulnerable. This weapon is effective against Russian tanks.

3. Stinger anti anti-aircraft missile

The US and NATO members have delivered about 2,000 FIM-92 Stinger missiles to the Ukrainian side. Some of the missiles have already been used, reportedly knocking a Russian military helicopter near Kyiv into flames.

This missile can shoot helicopters, low-flying aircraft, drones, to missiles fired by enemies. It is easy to operate, requires no intensive training, with a firing range of more than 4 kilometers. It can be carried by soldiers and fired, or placed in a tactical vehicle. Stinger weighs 10.1 kilograms and can be used in all weather.

4. S-300 . anti-aircraft missile

The S-300 is an anti-aircraft missile actually developed by the Soviet Union. Well, several NATO member countries reportedly have it and also the United States even if only for evaluation purposes. Ukraine also has but not enough.

The S-300 will reportedly be supplied by the US against Russia at the request of Ukraine. For that, the US is looking for countries that have access to the S-300 and give it to Ukraine. The S-300 missile is not only used to bring down aircraft, but also to ambush missiles from opponents.

5. Rifles, ammunition and protective clothing

In addition to heavy weapons, the US also provides equipment such as rifles and others. There were thousands of weapons in the form of machine guns, ordinary rifles, grenades, 20 million ammunition and tens of thousands of helmets and protective suits given to Ukraine.
