Big Danger For Apple If China Talks About Invasion Of Neighbors

In connection with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Apple stopped selling all its gadgets in Russia, following sanctions imposed by US companies. But if one day China is acting up, it will be considered a big danger for Apple.

Of course, Apple bears a lot of losses for leaving the Russian market. But the company founded by Steve Jobs was not too affected significantly.

"Even though Apple is clearly making money in Russia, they can still leave it, even permanently if needed. But Apple can't do that in China, if that country does the same thing as Russia," said MacWorld.

The same thing is meant, for example, if China decides to attack Taiwan, which they have always considered as its territory. Especially after seeing Russia classified as 'smooth' in attacking Ukraine, where NATO countries do not conduct direct confrontation.

In the scenario of China attacking Taiwan, the US and its allies may prioritize economic sanctions, as they did in Russia. Thus, Apple could be confused. Why is that?

Because as quoted by us from 9to5Mac, Wednesday (16/3/2022) Apple has a big dependence on China both in terms of sales and production. As is known, the supply of Apple's gadgets is mostly produced by factories located in China.

"If Apple leaves China, not only will they sacrifice a massive proportion of their sales in that country, but they will no longer be able to meet demand from around the world if their manufacturing in China is abandoned," wrote 9to5Mac.

Indeed, in recent years, Apple has gradually produced its devices outside of China, such as in India, Vietnam and Indonesia. However, it still has not been able to let go of its heavy dependence on China.

"If China invades Taiwan tomorrow, Apple will face a tough choice, sacrifice its principles and continue manufacturing in China, or leave its largest manufacturing hub and see sales stagnate because it can't keep up with demand," 9to5Mac said.
