1. QUEENDOM 2
In 2020, Mnet broadcast a survival show with a refreshing format that made girl groups as participants. The survival show is titled QUEENDOM.
The main goal of the event is to bring together underrated girl groups and soloists to show their talents to the public so that their names will shine and be widely known by the public.
Every week of broadcast there are always interesting missions that invite a row of girl groups and soloists in the first season consisting of AOA, Park Bom, MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, and (G)-IDLE to re-arrange a more spectacular musical work. .
Ready to air, QUEENDOM 2 will air on Wednesday (30/3) later with 5 girl group participants and 1 soloist namely Brave Girls, WJSN, LOONA, VIVIZ, Kep1er, and Hyolyn.
2. I-LAND 2
I-LAND is the only Mnet survival show that collaborates with entertainment company HYBE Label. In the first series, I-LAND was participated by a total of 35 talented male contestants from all over the world.
Aiming to form a new boy group under HYBE Label, I-LAND was produced directly by Bang Si Hyuk. Not only that, in each episode, I-LAND presents special guest stars from idol circles to motivate and provide input for each participant to keep the spirit of achieving their dreams.
Selected participants from the first I-LAND series are now known as the boy group ENHYPEN. Two years after the completion of the first I-LAND series, Mnet and HYBE Label have collaborated again in producing I-LAND 2 with a focus on female participants who will later join a new girl group under the agency where BTS is sheltered. I-LAND 2 is rumored to be on the air in the first half of 2022.
3. Street Man Fighter
Successfully presenting the most popular survival show last year with Street Woman Fighter, now Mnet is making its newest series by changing the contestants from talented female dancers to male dancers.
Previously, Mnet also broadcast a spin-off from the Street Woman Fighter program entitled Street Girl Fighter, where the participants were talented young women who would be judged directly by several Street Woman Fighter participants.
Back on a large scale, Mnet is working on Street Man Fighter as the official second series of Street Woman Fighter. Before the show airs this summer, Mnet has even prepared the theme song for the male dancer's talent show to be released this March.
For now, Mnet has yet to reveal who the participants will be, but the preparation for this survival program is nearing the final stage to be ready to air.
4. Boys Planet 999
Having just formed the girl group Kep1er last January, Mnet has prepared the second series of the Girls Planet 999 program. Just like Street Woman Fighter, the contestants in the new series of the survival show are followed by male trainees from agencies and independent as contestants.
When viewed from the first series, Boys Planet contestants will be divided based on their country of origin, namely Korea, Japan, and China. Boys Planet 999 is expected to have a similar concept to Girls Planet 999 where each participant will complete a show mission as a group.
Among the 99 participating participants will be selected to become 9 participants who are members of the boy group. The big difference is the gender of the contestants and the length of the contract that will be prepared later. The production team of Boys Planet 999 is currently busy in selecting participants who will participate in the event.
