Critics: Mark Zuckerberg Should Quit Facebook!

Frances Haugen is a woman who dares to voice her opinion about the existence of Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook (now Meta). According to him, Zuckerberg should step down from the top position on Facebook. This he expressed at the Web Summit in Lisbon, last year.

The former Facebook worker, who has leaked tens of thousands of internal documents detailing the company's difficulties dealing with user security and misinformation, also criticized Zuckerberg's decision as "absurd" to invest in the metaverse concept rather than focus on fixing current problems.

Asked if Zuckerberg should step down, Haugen said firmly.

"I think Facebook will be stronger with someone who wants to focus on safety, so yes," he said earnestly.

Haugen admits that Zuckerberg controls decision-making in the company through his majority voting stake in Meta. This makes Mark Zuckerberg an undeniable position.

"Mark holds a 54% voting stake in Facebook. He's the chairman and CEO and I think at least shareholders have the right to actually elect their CEO. So I don't think there's any way the company will change if he stays CEO," Haugen said.

"I wish he could see that there's so much good he can do in the world, and maybe it's an opportunity for someone else to take control."
