Drones have many uses in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Apart from fighting, some drones are also used for aerial observations of the situation in Ukrainian cities, one of which is Mariupol, which is constantly being attacked by Russia.
In drone footage that has gone viral on social media, it appears the port city has suffered considerable devastation after weeks of Russian bombardment.
As quoted by us from the Independent, the city of Mariupol is even dubbed as hell on Earth by the Ukrainians who lived there and managed to escape.
So far, however, the Ukrainian military has been able to defend the city, not falling to the Russian side. In the drone footage in the district called Livoberezhnyi, you can see puffs of smoke gushing into the air in all corners of the city.

There were broken apartment blocks, crushed trees and building debris. Many buildings were damaged, some with large holes and walls collapsing.
Separate photos from satellite company Maxar also show the same. The Russian missile attack caused widespread damage to the city and residents were badly affected by it.
On the other hand, drones have indeed become an important tool in this conflict. In fact, not only military drones, Russia and Ukraine are both deploying commercial drones from DJI and their technology in warfare.
While Ukraine is using DJI drones to spy on the Russian military, Russia is primarily using DJI's technology known as AeroScope.
DJI itself is a commercial drone manufacturer from China that is very well known for its reliability. Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov said that DJI should block the technology used by Russia.
"Are you sure you want to be a partner to the killers? Block your product that helped Russia kill Ukrainian citizens," he wrote in a letter to DJI.
