Elon Musk's Satellite Internet Effective Against Russia's Invasion of Ukraine

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said Starlink's internet connection was effective against the Russian invasion.

The meaning of this statement by Fedorov, who is also Ukraine's minister of digital transformation, is that Ukrainian citizens can still connect to the internet even though Russia is trying to turn off internet connections in Ukraine.

"The quality of the connection is excellent. We use thousands, in thousands of areas, terminals with new shipments arriving every day," Fedorov explained in an interview.

According to Fedorov, citizens can still have access to receive and send information around the world, according to Fedorov.

Previously, it was also reported that Elon Musk's satellite internet technology allows Ukrainian drones to detect Russian military entering Ukrainian territory.

The drone team in question is Aerorozvidka (Aerial Reconnaissance), especially those in remote areas, using Starlink technology to connect to an intelligence database, which allows them to determine flight routes and attacks against Russian tanks.

But keep in mind, there is no confirmation from Starlink or SpaceX - its parent - regarding the use of Starlink for military purposes. But it is clear that the director of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, is not happy that Musk is sending technology for civilian use to conflict areas, aiming to interfere with Russia's objectives in Ukraine.

Internet access in Ukraine has been disrupted since the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and until now its condition has not recovered. Then Fedorov poked Musk on Twitter.

"@elonmusk, when you try to colonize Mars, Russia tries to occupy Ukraine! When your rocket successfully lands from space - Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civilians," Fedorov tweeted.

Musk responded to the tweet by activating the Starlink service in Ukraine and sending a terminal device that functions to access Starlink to Ukraine.

"Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals are on the way," Musk replied on his Twitter account.
