On the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 stage, OPPO also enlivened it by showing off its newest technology, namely 240W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge. This is the fastest mobile phone charging technology in the world today which is able to charge a 4,500mAh battery to 100% in about 9 minutes.
On the same occasion, OPPO also released the 150W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge with BHE technology. This technology is capable of charging the 4,500 mAh battery to 50% in 5 minutes and charging to 100% in just 15 minutes.
OPPO also presents two technologies that reduce worries about battery life. The first is the Battery Health Engine technology which debuted last week in the OPPO Find X5 series. This technology uses a special chip to help maintain battery performance at 80% of its original capacity after as many as 1,600 charge cycles.
Second, there is Battery Healing technology which includes the Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI), a durable coating on the battery electrodes that protects it from degradation. Battery Healing carries a special formula for electrolytes that continuously repairs the SEI layer while the battery is being charged and discharged. This keeps the electrodes in good condition, which improves battery performance and extends its life.
To support this new technology, OPPO introduced the 150W SuperVOOC charger. Thanks to its GaN technology, this charger measures 58 x 57 x 30 mm and weighs 172g. It's not much bigger than OPPO's old 65W SuperVOOC adapter. The adapter has a power density of 1.51W/cm³ or much higher than a typical charger.
The charger also supports PPS, PD, and QC protocols that allow users to quickly charge tablets, laptops, and mobile game consoles. This 150W SuperVOOC Flash Charge has also been demonstrated at the OPPO booth at MWC on 28 February to 3 March 2022.
