Getting to know the figure of Ahed Tamimi, a brave woman from Palestine who is persistent against Israel

Ahed Tamimi's name went viral a few years ago because of her actions against Israeli soldiers in Palestine. His actions were captured on a video in which Tamimi and her cousin asked two Israeli soldiers to leave, before finally hitting them.

In 2015, a photo emerged showing Tamimi biting the hand of an Israeli soldier to stop her brother's arrest. Summarizing from various sources, see the story of Ahed Tamimi's inspiring struggle to protect her country below!

Who is Ahed Tamimi?

Ahed Tamimi is a female activist from Nabi Saleh, Palestine, who has become an icon and is globally recognized for her resistance to the Israeli army. This beautiful woman was born on January 31, 2001 to Bassem Tamimi and Nariman Tamimi, where the father is also a Palestinian grassroots activist.

At the age of 11, Tamimi was praised by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for trying to interfere in the August 2012 arrest of her mother.

Detained for 8 Months

When the video of Tamimi's beating against Israeli soldiers was recorded by her mother, Tamimi was only 16 years old at that time. A few days later, Israeli soldiers came to Tamimi's house and arrested her.

Tamimi was then interrogated and sentenced to eight months in prison. Tamimi was released after serving 8 months as a political prisoner and received a lot of support from the world.

Studying Law While in Prison

After his release, Tamimi said he used his term as an opportunity to study international law and hopes to one day lead cases against Israel in an international court.

Tamimi also said that she and the Palestinian women who were in the same cell with her would sit for hours studying the law. They managed to turn a prison into a school.

"This experience of being arrested adds value to my life, maybe that's what made me more mature and more patient," said Tamimi.

Aspiring to Become a Lawyer

Tamimi revealed that her experience in prison made her want to become an international lawyer. Tamimi also added that in another life he would be trained to become an international footballer.

Become a Struggle Symbol

Tamimi has no remorse for her actions in hitting the Israeli soldier who she believes to be the soldier who shot her cousin in the head with a rubber bullet during the uprising.

"I feel proud to have become a symbol for the Palestinian cause in conveying a message to the whole world. Of course, it is a heavy burden for me. But I really believe that I have to do it," said Tamimi.

After being liberated and gaining worldwide attention, the Tamimi family said their daughter had been offered a scholarship to study abroad. However, Tamimi is still considering the offer.

That is Tamimi's inspirational story in fighting for her country. Hopefully Tamimi's story can inspire you in fighting for justice, OK!
