Google Changes Play Store Appearance, Find Applications So Easy

Google made changes to the appearance of the Play Store to make it easier for users of large screen devices such as tablets, foldable phones or Chromebooks, to find the right application.

"In the coming months, we'll be updating our feature logic and app ranking on the Play Store for large screen devices by prioritizing high-quality apps and games," Google said in a statement to The Verge.

This ranking will affect the appearance of the application in search results and recommendations on the homepage, this aims to ensure that the first application that users find is an application that can work well on their device.

Google also mentioned that the Play Store will start showing user reviews and ratings of devices in the same category.

For example, mobile phone users will be able to see reviews given by other mobile phone users, as well as tablet users, can also see reviews given by tablet users.

That way, they can get a better reference on how well the app will work on their type of device.

App developers will also be able to see which reviews and ratings users will see with a particular device on the Play Store console.

Lastly, Google will also change the warning for apps that don't meet the compatibility requirements to ensure users of widescreen devices know how things will work once they install it.
