Infected Again, Elon Musk Says COVID-19 Is The Theseus Virus

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time. Previously, Musk was infected with COVID in November 2020.

"COVID-19 is the Theseus virus," he tweeted on Monday (28/3) night.

Theseus is the name of the king and hero of Athens in Greek mythology, the son of Aithra. It is unclear why Musk equates COVID-19 with Theseus.

"How many genes changed before being infected with COVID-19 again? I seem to be infected again, but there are almost no symptoms," he said.

If Musk is positive for COVID-19, the tech billionaire is part of the data that shows an increasing trend of people reporting re-infection of COVID-19 in the United States (US).

A number of important figures in the US in recent days have experienced this. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was also recently infected with COVID for the second time, exactly five months after the first infection.

Psaki confirmed this news via his Twitter account. That means Psaki will have to cancel his trip to Europe with US President Joe Biden.

"Today, in preparation for a trip to Europe, I took a PCR test this morning. The result came back positive, which means I will follow CDC guidelines and not travel with the President to Europe," he tweeted.

Citing a British study, one in 24 people who recovered from COVID-19 developed a re-infection of the virus. According to NSW Health, most people have a low risk of re-infection of COVID-19 within 28 days of isolation.

Studies also show that we are less likely to be re -infected with Omicron BA variants. 2, if previously infected with Omicron BA.1. People who have previously recovered from the Delta variant are more likely to have re -infection of COVID with the Omicron strain.
