Along with the launch of the third generation iPhone SE, Apple also updated the iPad Air. Its performance is claimed to be more powerful than its predecessor thanks to the embedded Apple M1 chipset in this tablet
"With the breakthrough M1 chip, the Ultra Wide Front Camera with Center Stage, and ultra-fast 5G, iPad Air is now more powerful, more capable, and more fun than ever." said Greg Joswiak, Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
With the Apple M1 chipset, the new iPad Air has a CPU 60% faster than its predecessor. Similarly the GPU performance offers twice as fast as the iPad Air 2020.
The latest iPad Air 2022 screen still uses Liquid Retina measuring 10.9 inches with a resolution of 1640 x 2360 pixels. Apple provides up to 500 nits of brightness, TrueTone, HDR support and an anti-reflective coating.
Apple embeds a 12 MP ultra wide camera on the front which is equipped with the Center Stage feature. This feature keeps the user in the center of the frame even though they are moving.

A 12 MP camera is also installed on the back. The camera can be used to take sharp 4K photos and videos, scan documents, and enjoy AR experiences.
The latest iPad Air supports 5G, the more complete WiFi 6 support is available. This tablet uses a USB Type C port with the ability to transfer data twice as fast as before.
This tablet still supports Touch ID. The fingerprint sensor is attached to the power button.

iPad Air 2022 supports Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. This tablet is available in Space Gray, Silver, Rose Gold, Green, Sky Blue and Purple colors.
Apple opens pre-orders on March 11, 2022. In the United States, iPad Air 2022 prices start at USD 599 for the WiFi Only option, and USD 749 for the WiFi + Cellular variant.
