iPhone 14 Pro will use a 48 MP camera, these are the consequences

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will reportedly carry a 48 MP camera. As a result, the bulge of the rear camera will become thicker and larger.

This iPhone 14 Pro camera leak comes from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In his tweet, Kuo responded to a schematic drawing of the iPhone 14 Pro shared by tipster Max Weinbach.

The scheme shows the rear camera module of the iPhone 14 Pro whose dimensions have increased by about 5%. The length is increased from 35.01 mm to 36.73 mm, and the height is increased from 36.24 mm to 38.21 mm.

The thickness of the camera module has also increased so that it looks more prominent. The thickness has increased from 3.60 mm on the iPhone 13 Pro to 4.17 mm on the iPhone 14 Pro, as quoted from MacRumors, Monday (28/3/2022).

Kuo said the reason behind the iPhone 14 Pro's bigger camera bulge is that the resolution of the rear camera has been increased to 48 MP. This is a significant improvement from the 12 MP camera on the iPhone 13 Pro.

Kuo added that the diagonal length of the contact image sensor (CIS) on the iPhone 14 Pro will increase by 25-35% thanks to the 48 MP camera. Likewise with the camera lens system whose height will increase by 5-10%.

In addition to the punch-hole design that will replace the notch, the 48 MP camera is one of the features that are quickly rumored to be present on the iPhone 14 Pro. The 48 MP camera will reportedly only be available on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Thanks to this camera, the iPhone 14 Pro will be able to record 8K quality videos. Kuo previously said the camera quality in the iPhone 14 Pro will take mobile photography to a new level.
