It is rumored that the iPhone 14 Pro will carry a new design, which uses a punch-hole screen to replace the notch design that has been used since the iPhone X. Is this the shape of the iPhone 14 Pro with a punch-hole screen?
The alleged form of the iPhone 14 Pro was uploaded by 91Mobiles. They uploaded photos of what are suspected to be CAD renderings of the iPhone 14 Pro that were leaked from the factory.
From the photo, you can see the phone screen with two holes. The round hole will be used to place the front camera, while the Face ID module will be placed in the pill-shaped hole. This CAD rendering also shows the speaker grille will remain embedded in the top bezel.
This design change is not so dramatic when compared to the iPhone 14 Pro design rumors spread by tipster Jon Prosser. In September, Prosser claimed that the iPhone 14 would have a thicker frame to avoid the camera protrusion on the back, with the lens, flash and LiDAR Scanner integrated into the back panel.
Prosser's sources also claim that the iPhone 14 will have rounded volume buttons like the iPhone 4, with a redesigned speaker and microphone grille.
But those claims don't match what this render shows. The camera protrusion is still clearly visible, and the volume buttons are still the same as on the iPhone 13. This rendering also still shows the Lightning port at the bottom with the SIM card slot on the side. It looks like the rumors about the iPhone getting rid of the charging port and the physical SIM card slot won't come true.
Apple is predicted to release four iPhone 14 models this year, consisting of two models with a 6.1-inch screen and two with a 6.7-inch screen. This punch-hole design will only be on the iPhone 14 Pro duo, while the standard variant still uses a notch.
